I am delighted to have two of my pieces in ‘Dog Days‘, this year’s Open Submission Exhibtion at Dunamaise Arts Centre in Portlaoise: ‘Oval I’, a papercut and ‘Vessel IV’, a small sculptural piece (PET Bottle and Embroidery Thread). Dog Days was curated by Therry Rudin and Patricia Hurl of Damer House Gallery.

Shaft, Sisal Twine Installation, Temple Bar Gallery + Studios, Dublin
Shaft, the site-specific sisal twine sculpture that I installed in Dublin’s Temple Bar Gallery atrium for Culture Night, will remain in place until Saturday 15 October 2016. TBG+S are included in Open House Dublin 2016 and the installation will be part of their tour. More photos here.

I am looking forward to installing a site-specific twine sculpture over three floors in the atrium space of Temple Bar Gallery for Culture Night 2016. This year’s Culture Night takes place on Friday 16 September from 6-9.30pm. Guided tours of the TBG+S artists’ studios are free, but need to be booked here.

I am looking forward to seeing the Art of Craft Exhibition 2016 at the Market Place Theatre and Arts Centre in Armagh, in which I will be showing two pieces. The exhibition features the work of 26 artist/designer/makers from across Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland, showcasing ceramics, jewellery, mixed media, textiles, bespoke furniture, printmaking, mosaic and paper working.

I have two works in the Dunamaise Open Submission Exhibition 2015. This year’s exhibition features works of art by 25 artists from around the country and was selected by Eamon Colman, Aosdána. Official Opening Friday 13 November, 7pm. Runs until Saturday 19 December. Opening hours: Tuesday to Friday: 10am to 5.30pm, Saturday: 10am to 1pm & 2pm to 5pm and one hour prior to curtain on the evening of a performance. My papercut memo was inspired by Alan Counihan and Bridge Street Will Be.
