What an honour to be showing my vinyl floor and wall drawing alongside large prints of My Carlow, a graphic novel by Studio Weave and an architectural structure by Todo Por La Praxis, as part of Town Planners in the Studio Gallery at VISUAL Centre for Contemporary Art. A big thank you to producers Ann Mulrooney of VISUAL in Carlow and to Eilis Lavelle and Rosie Lynch of Workhouse Union for asking me and to Jon for helping with the install.
A big thank you to Kilkenny Arts Office for awarding me a residency bursary for the Tyrone Guthrie Centre in Annaghmakerrig. I had an inspriring and productive week in this amazing place in the beginning of December. I am very much looking forward to another week in the new year and hope to show some of the work in a gallery next summer.

Temple Bar Gallery + Studios, Dublin, 06 February – 28 March 2015, Paul Bokslag, Sarah Browne, Gareth Kennedy, Sarah Lincoln, Fiona McDonald, Studio Weave
The Pattern Exchange is an exhibition, guest curated by Rosie Lynch and Hollie Kearns, which presents existing work from Irish artists Sarah Browne, Gareth Kennedy, Sarah Lincoln and Fiona McDonald, with new commissions by Paul Bokslag (IE/NL) and architecture practice Studio Weave (UK). Taking pattern as a point of departure, the exhibition explores patterns of knowledge, material production, labour, and patterns of movement and change within urban and natural landscapes.
I have installed a large scale paper cut for The Pattern Exchange and also developed the display font for this exhibition. The Pattern Exchange font can be downloaded for free from the Temple Bar Gallery + Studios website.

I will exhibit a number of paper-cuts in Waterford Regional Hospital as part of the exhibitions programme curated by Waterford Healing Arts Trust. The title of the exhibition, Waking Up in Waterford, refers to my hospital admission after a traumatic accident many years ago. Through a series of more figurative paper-cuts I have tried to revisited my stay as a patient in the hospital and the visual narrative that runs through the exhibition follows a journey towards recovery.
Waking Up In Waterford will run from Thursday 10th April, 2014 until the 6th June, 2014. For further information please contact the Waterford Healing Arts Trust on 051-842664 or e-mail WHAT@hse.ie
